Cameroon Gets 4G Internet Posted in Heavy Chef News, Concocted by Wendy Tayler,

Cameroon will be hosting the first 4G broadband wireless internet thanks to 4G Africa, who received permission to launch from ART (Agence de Régulation des Télécommunications du Cameroun), only twelve months ago.

YooMee, the new internet provider promises to brings a smooth and uniform connection that will stop the constant problems experienced in Cameroon with poor internet bandwidth.

yoomeeStephane Abrahams, Managing Director of YooMee, held a public demonstration, explaining the convenience of wireless modems and fast speed internet at any place, anytime.

According to Activspaces, an open collaboration for African technology, the “robust technical system (is) made  up of 45 power units covering 80% of Douala and growing, YooMee is serious about stability on their network.

Cameroon’s technology is fast approaching the lead runners in advanced technology, as their4G Internet promises to take basic technology and amplify its usage as well as ensure a superior quality to previous generations. This new state-of-the-art technology will boost markets and improve connectivity and development in multiple fields. There is also a YooMee service for companies, using desktop YooMee modems for customers requiring large downloads.
