On Wednesday, May 25th,  Deloitte hosted the Heavy Chef Johannesburg session with Nic Haralambous talking to us about Motribe , his and Vince Maher’s extraordinary startup. The session saw an unprecedented level of interaction on the social networks, and a buzz around the topic of mobile communities. The Heavy Chef now moves to Cape Town once more, with the topic of “Trust and Identity Online” coming into focus.joe

We’ve asked Joe Botha of TrustFabric and Tim Shier of BrandsEye to come chat to us about online reputation, privacy and new trends in protecting our personal information. Before TrustFabric, Joe Botha founded and sold several SA tech businesses. In the same light Tim Shier has built BrandsEye into one SA’s most promising online startups.

Nokia SA will again be giving away a smart phone to one lucky attendee at this event.

Ice cold beers will be provided by Corona and the Cape’s finest harvest provided by Backsberg Winery. ChannelMobile will again be assisting with reminders and invites.
