Last night Heavy Chef held yet another memorable and intriguing session. Christo Davel from 22Seven was there to explain his latest service, a money management tool that aims to highlight our emotional spending. 22Seven was inspired by The Institute of Play, bringing game design, research and critical tools together in order to illustrate spending and saving.

Christo went on to share an in-depth review of the intricate work that has gone into the design, user-experience and attention to detail for this service. For many, this shed new light on a once hesitant audience.
Some of the comments from the audience included, “The banks need to keep up with the wants and needs of the people”, “22Seven provides an unbiased, transparant voice, detatched from your own bank” and “Humans are more motivated by fear of loss than fear of gain. Wow, that is profound.”
The new service has been successful so far and users admit that it has helped them reassess their irrational spending.
A BIG thank you to our wonderful sponsors, Deloitte for the venue with a view, Backsberg for the refreshing eco-friendly wine, Channel Mobile for the SMS reminders and of course, Nokia for the awesome Lumia prize, won by an ecstatic Philip Langley.
