Heavy Chef March: Building Great Mobisites Posted in Heavy Chef News, Concocted by Yolandi Janse van Rensburg,
Published on 25 March 2011

Mobile Marketing has taken up a lot of our focus at The Heavy Chef Project recently. We’ve published multiple articles and asked the opinions of many leaders in the field. Last month Vince and Nic from Motribe spoke to us in Cape Town about their experiences building up their burgeoning social network (at last count it was adding 10,000 new members per day!) Check out the video of the event here.

Tim BishopFor our next speaker, we’ve invited the erudite, strapping, famously successful and cocky-as-hell Tim Bishop, founder of Prezence Digital , to come and chat to us about what’s involved in building a decent mobile site. Tim believes strongly that South Africa and other emerging economies sell themselves short by building sub-standard mobisites. Looking abroad, Tim thinks that there’s no reason why we can’t develop world-class mobile destinations. Tim will share his experiences and advice on how we can move forward in this ever-expanding field of the mobile web.

If you want to hear Tim unpack his ideas, please let us know asap. Seats will fly fast, so get your booking in NOW – email Yolandi here with your request to attend.
Date: Thursday, 31 March 2011 at Deloitte Offices, Building 33, in Woodmead (Map)

See you at the event!
