How To Try Augmented Reality For Yourself Posted in Augmented Reality, Concocted by Yolandi Janse van Rensburg,

Even though Augmented Reality for me is still an idea that will only materialize in the near future, there are some examples of how it could work today.

Augmen Demo Car90percentofeverything.com shows an augmented reality demo that you can try out at home. All you need is a webcam. Just visit the Toyota IQ Reality site and you can experience it for yourself. Harry Brigull says “although the wow factor of this demo will wear off after a few minutes, it’s worth bearing mind the potential applications of this technology”. Augmented Reality is also quite prevalent on the iPhone where numerous apps already exist.

On Wikipedia there are a few current & future Augmented Reality applications which will knock your socks off! With some of the future applications we can look forward to getting information on anything you want just by looking at it through goggles or pointing your phone at it. Now that’s real-time information for you!
