The Nielsen’s Mobile Insights study was conducted in association with the Mobile Marketing Association of South Africa in 2011. Tstudy reveals the top handset makers in SA, as well as stats on local cellular networks. The study included a sample of 2000 respondents in urban South Africa and quotas based on age, gender and all Living Standards Measure levels across each metropolitan area in South Africa were used.
