Crowdsourcing

A lot has been spoken about crowdsourcing, and the influence of crowds on everything from popular culture to politics.

Here’s a site that makes the leap and uses the idea for business: Crowdspring.

Looks like this can be a very profitable website for them.

    Hiya Fred,

Thanks for the kind mention. crowdSPRING is a marketplace for buyers and providers of creative services. On cS a buyer posts a project, describes what it is they are looking for, names the price they will pay, and sets a length of time for the project to run. In turn, creatives from around the world submit actual work for the buyer to choose from. At the end of the project, the buyer chooses the work they like best. crowdSPRING handles file uploads, ratings and feedback, and worldwide payment to the winning creative.

We believe that our model provides real value to both sides of the equation: for the buyer, it provides REAL choice, and for the creatives a truly level playing field. Here artists, designers, and creatives of all sorts compete only on the quality of their ideas; no longer does experience, education, or client list matter.

    Thanks again,

    Mike
