I’ve been racking my brain trying to get my head around search engine optimization. The Heavy Chefs here at World Wide Creative have given me a “K-I-L-L-E-R” approach to conceptualize SEO. Over the next four weeks I will dive in and learn how to cook up a robust SEO campaign:
K- Keyword Research
Using the right keywords is key! Although keyword research is a tedious, agonizing, and BORING process it’s critical to builidng the foundation for a successful SEO campaign.
I – Implementation (of Keyword Research)
It’s not just about the right keywords. It’s about using them strategically.
L – Linking
Google is looking for authoritative websites with relevant affiliations. Link wisely because your relationships matter.
L – Linkerati
The Linkerati (masters or the Internet universe) are those people that are active in the online community. Building a network of “Linkerati” is essential to a profitable SEO campaign.
E – Everyday Language
Content is key. Users are most engaged by content that is relevant and easy to digest. Web copy must be conversational.
R – Results
When used properly measurement tools can tell us a lot about users. The key to successful web measurement is to understand why things are happening rather than what is happening. Analytics should be about customer behavior not numbers.
I’m looking forward to digging in and learning all that I can about SEO. Whether you are a beginner like me or an expert join in on the discussion.
