If you a small business owner, then this post is for you!

Start Me Up with Selling Online – The South African E-Commerce Guide, is the first of a series of online guides by Startup Media. The comprehensive, 183 page “how to” guide provides small business owners with the knowledge and tools to plan and execute basic online marketing campaigns. The value for of the guide lies in the fact that the book provides opinion, resources and examples within a South African business context.

Startup Media is an online media and publishing house that will be developing guides that address topics on entrepreneurship, careers, exciting ventures and marketing for the SME market. Each guide will contain hard-to-find information, tips, tools, insider secrets on topics that are relevant to South African small business owners. The books are released in PDF-format and are available for sale from the Start Me Up website at www.startmeup.co.za.

“Initially I was doing research on e-commerce for my own website,” says Amelia Mulder, web entrepreneur and author of the e-commerce guide. Eventually I got so frustrated with the lack of localized information that I decided to dedicate my time solely to putting together a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive and one-stop guide for all those interested in starting or improving their online retail businesses”.

Anyone who subscribes by e-mail to Amelia’s e-commerce blog, Everything Ecommerce, between now and 28 February 2009, stands a chance to win a copy of Start Me Up with Selling Online – The South African E-Commerce Guide.
