Success helps business Posted in Digital Strategy, Search Engine Optimisation, Concocted by Mike Perk,

What a great weekend. As always I caught up on a bit of work, but for the first time in a few weeks I got to go for a surf and more importantly Spurs have started winning again. Obviously it was against lowly Wigan and not the might of the Manchester (City as much as Utd these days), but a win’s a win and that’s now 3 in the last 4 games under Ramos.

What the hell’s that got to do with Profitable Websites, I hear you ask? Well, strangely enough, we often forget that, when success helps generate offline PR, it is an excellent tool for building success online. Sometimes we focus too much on SEO, PPC and online Link Baiting as a way to get people to the site and forget about the core service we are offering off it. And utilising our success stories to generate some good old fashioned PR.

Take the Tottenham Hotspurs example:

You get the peak where Martin was sacked (obviously all us fans want to find out exactly what is happening), but after that has settled down and we start winning again the average just shifts up a little. This little shift can equate to quite a bit of business.

Anyways, this is my round about way of loosely tying something marketing together with my beloved spurs, just so I can say “up the spurs”.
