  1. 4 Tips On Targeting Emerging Markets And Mobile Communities Posted in Emerging Markets, Mobile Marketing, Concocted by Fred Roed May 5, 2011

The process of targeting emerging economies is something that my team at World Wide Creative is particularly interested in, with several products in-house that we’re looking beyond the first world to take to market. My knowledge is growing, but I still feel like I have progressed one step in a marathon. When marketing outside of our comfort zone, there is so much to learn that it is a daunting (yet exciting) process. Read Further

  2. Hit the Bull’s Eye with SEO! Posted in Digital Strategy, Search Engine Optimisation, Concocted by Yolandi Janse van Rensburg July 14, 2009

Today, search engines work much like a phone book directory used to – just on a much larger scale. How your company’s site is found can be difficult with so many options available. To single out you company’s website from the mass of information on the web, it is vital to make use Search Engine Optimization (or SEO). Read Further

  4. The best banner advert ever… Posted in Branding Online, Online Advertising, Concocted by Fred Roed June 30, 2009

Shaun (World Wide Creative’s Lead Programmer) sent this banner advert to me (it’s a banner ad for Pringles). It’s a great example of how to do banner advertising right, and has won some nice awards for its effort. Nice and simple, with a strong idea behind it. No flashy animation, no irritating pop-ups – just an engaging dialogue to get you clicking. Read Further

  5. The Obama Internet Show rolls on Posted in Digital Strategy, Online Advertising, Concocted by Fred Roed November 10, 2008 1 comment

    barack kicks ass

At World WIde Creative, we’re pretty stoked that Barack Obama won. Partly because he’s of African descent, partly because the guy rocks the house, and partly because he brings a fresh breeze to a world smogged up with serious issues.

We have one more selfish reason for being elated for the win, however. World Wide Creative uses Barack Obama’s internet strategy as a case study in almost all our presentations, so it would have been pretty crappy if the non-internet-savvy old white guy had won! Read Further

  6. Will Google Chrome play havoc on Web Agencies? Posted in Digital Strategy, Concocted by Fred Roed September 2, 2008 3 comments

    google chrome

Last week Chris Beech blogged about the Google iPhone. Now there is Google Chrome, the new open source browser from Google. I first heard about it on Twitter on Monday, and shortly after it hit the news, ‘Google Chrome’ became a bigger search term than ‘Hurricane Gustav’ – which, on Monday, was at its destructuve zenith. 9. World Wide Creative, the web marketing company bubbling under Biz-Community Posted in Branding Online, Digital Strategy, Online Advertising, Concocted by Mike Perk September 19, 2007

Since placing our profile on Biz-Community* pitching World Wide Creative’s services as a web marketing company, we’ve seen an increase in online referrals by around 150% (not a confirmed stat – this is using my overtaxed, non-administrative brain). Not sure if the traffic through our site has been generated by the Biz-Community website, since not a lot of the visitors to the World Wide Creative site actually come directly from their site – but maybe our increasing number of people ’stumbling upon’ us results from better search results for marginalised words.
