As many of you know there is a segment of the online “cash cow” dedicated to making money from developing and releasing Premium Themes for WordPress. A Premium Theme is basically a well developed/coded theme that you can use for your WordPress website. So in essence 1xWordPress install (FREE) + 1xPremium Theme = Rocking Website!

I would like to know from our HeavyChef readers, would you ever consider using a premium theme for your website? Something like www.premiumnewstheme.com is a good place to get an idea of a well developed and supported Premium WordPress Theme.

Give us some feedback on your feelings.

i would. i’m currently re-developing jbay.biz. it’s a joomla template now, but i’d like it to be more of a blog type site, for quick write-ups and link building.

i’d definitely consider using a premium wordpress theme, IF the coding is not too heavy, and the design not overwhelming.

i see one thing about wordpress junkies (and this thing has spread like a virus): right-sided columns. i’d only consider a left-sided column, and only if the coding does not cause the site to take forever to open. if the content doesn’t do it for the reader, the graphics won’t be satisfying either.

@ Paul – Thanks for featuring Premium News here and was great to meet you on Wednesday at WPCPT! :)

@ Jansie – You can always just switch the sidebar around… Our newest themes uses the 960 grid stylesheet; so you simply need to change a few values and voila.
