Since Heavy Chef registered as a company and I left my role as CEO of WWC late last year, my business partners and I have been proactively getting stuck into evolving both businesses.

Under the powerful leadership of Mike Perk (MD) and Louis Janse van Rensburg (MD, WWC Joburg and Africa), has evolved into a ‘people and tech company’ (essentially, an innovation agency) and HC has evolved into an experiential learning company.

A view that we had some years ago was that the business of marketing, and in particular the business of agencies, was being disrupted irrevocably. WWC has dramatically shifted its model to a leaner, more focused business. WWC now focuses on ‘head’ and ‘heart’ - consulting and product development. WWC comprises of a stellar management of senior individuals that runs teams on the ground in Cape Town, Johannesburg and throughout Africa for clients such as Vodafone and The Foschini Group.

Heavy Chef focuses on creating experience-based learning opportunities. We aim to uplift and upskill entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and business graduates in South Africa and Africa.

Office space available

Our home for the past few years has been a bustling building in the heart of Zonnebloem, right below the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. As we’ve made these changes, we have been modifying the configuration of our studio space. WWC and Heavy Chef used to occupy the bottom two floors, with the top floor being used for events, meeting rooms and ancillary offices. With the new configuration, the WWC team is now at the top floor and we have the entire second floor for let. The space is a stunning, open plan area with loads of meeting rooms. There is security and LOTS of parking (yes, you heard me - in the middle of Cape Town).
