Ascend Academy, a tech institution feeding the demand for software engineering skills in South Africa, recently launched a 12-month paid graduate programme, designed to place software developers in one of SA’s top financial institutions, offering them an opportunity to develop their skills and expand their world.
According to social entrepreneur and founder of Ascend Academy, Adele Croucamp, “the programme is focused on removing barriers to entry in the tech space and giving recent graduates or final year students the opportunity to broaden their experience and skills in software development.” She continues, ”the graduate programme will expose applicants to peer-on-peer mentorship, helping them build long-term relationships and expand their network.”
The successful applicants will get the chance to explore a career in finance, gain valuable work experience and meet others on the same career track. The 2019 intake kicks off on 1 February 2019, with interviews being held at the end of November this year in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The Academy is looking for recent graduates with 1 – 2 years’ experience in software development in a tech start-up, or students completing their final year of their qualification.
Interested applicants can visit www.ascendacademy.org/ and complete the form.
Applications for the 2019 intake will close on 16 November 2018 at 12pm.
