President Thabo Mbeki: Only Human Capital Can Change Society For The Better

Former South African President Thabo Mbeki is a renowned intellectual and an authority on the subject of education in Africa. Joining us for the third instalment of our Inspire Sessions in collaboration with Discovery, Mr. Mbeki was presented with a 200-page report on how the 4th industrial revolution can transform education by the Thabo Mbeki Foundation’s Lukhanyo Neer. In this video, he addresses the violence and disorder in South Africa - one of the issues we have to overcome in order to meet the challenge of education and thrive. His advice? To face the brutal facts but never give up hope.

"It’s not a country's mineral wealth that changes society for the better, but its human capital"
