Sikelela Dibela is a regular Heavy Chef contributor and participant. Since he was young, Siki has been passionate about contributing to an empowered and integrated community in his hometown, Khayelitsha in Cape Town. Two years ago, he was able to bring this ambition to fruition through creating a coffee culture, which served to unite people around their love of coffee. Now, Siki is set to take the next step of his entrepreneurial journey.
Yesterday, on Wednesday the 2nd May, we paid a visit to Tastelab HQ, headed up by Wessel Adriaan Pieterse. With a BSC degree in Food Science behind his name, followed by an MBA from UCT GSB, coupled with product design courses in Barcelona (I mean, what’s next Wes?), Secco Infusion is Wessel’s first creation that lives, very neatly beneath the Tastlab Mother Brand. Secco is already in 50 stores in 8 months. We find out how Wessel did it.
