Jørn Lyseggen is widely lauded as one of the pioneers in Online Reputation Monitoring (ORM). Jørn founded his business intelligence company in 2001 and has grown it into a global powerhouse in 60 different countries with over $250m in revenue. Lyseggen is going to talk to us about the proliferation of data in today's world, and how we can use AI to decipher it.

Meltwater is a software as a service (SaaS) company that develops and markets media monitoring and business intelligence software. The company was founded in Oslo, Norway, by Jørn Lyseggen, in 2001 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California, with additional offices across Europe, North America, Asia/Pacific, Australia, and Africa. The company employs more than 1500 people and has more than 25,000 clients internationally.

A remarkable journey: 

Jørn Lyseggen is the Founder & CEO of Meltwater. A Norwegian entrepreneur and philanthropist, his previous ventures included 2 exits and an IPO. He founded Meltwater in Oslo, Norway in 2001 with an investment of just $15,000. Built on the notion of "Outside Insight", Meltwater is now a global leader in B2B online media intelligence, with over 60 offices across six continents. 

Lyseggen founded the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), a Pan-African training program, seed fund and incubator for African entrepreneurs, in 2008, and launched Shack15, a global data science hub in London, in 2016. Jørn has been featured on CNN, TechCrunch, TedX and has presented at Harvard, Oxford and Stanford. 

Jørn's book, which was launched on the 12th of October, details how companies will soon change the way they make corporate decisions by drawing on external data-points. To make sense of "a world drowning in data" however, the use of Artificial Intelligence in this endeavor will be paramount. Jørn will be available at the event for a limited time for book signings.
