Andy Higgins is a (relatively) old hand in the (relatively) new world of e-commerce. His formal qualifications - BSc in electronic engineering, MBA and certified financial planner - do not even hint at this, but as the founder of bidorbuy.co.za, he was at the forefront of the growth of e-commerce in Africa. Serving on the boards of bidorbuy.co.za, payfast.co.za and One Africa Media afforded him a front-row seat to the remarkable growth of the online shopping, payments and fulfilment sectors, and an opportunity to leverage his passion for improving the experience of merchants and consumers.

Before the September 2022 merger with bidorbuy that led to the formation of Bob Group, Andy was MD of e-commerce logistics specialist uAfrica.com. In this role, he oversaw the development of cloud-based tools for online businesses.
