Event: Handwritten, The Founding Story Of Yuppiechef - Cape Town

Not many South Africans can boast a true garage to greatness story. Yuppiechef cofounder Andrew Smith can. Yuppiechef grew into an e-commerce behemoth with millions of rands of sales every month. After the brand became a retail case-study of 'how to do omnichannel right', Yuppiechef sold to the Mr Price Group for a reported R500m in 2021. Andrew Smith has written a no-holds-barred biography covering the Yuppiechef journey. The book Handwritten (a double-play on Andrew's personal journal and Yuppiechef's famous handwritten delivery notes) will be launched on the Heavy Chef stage in Cape Town in June. The event will be held at V&A Waterfront at the fabulous Watershed venue, 6-8pm, Monday, June 8th. Tickets are R250 (Heavy Chef members only). Each ticket includes one copy of the book.
