1. Introduction

At Heavy Chef, we believe in keeping things simple and empowering. We want our members to stay because they find value in our learning experiences, not because they are locked into a contract. This document outlines the terms regarding the cancellation of membership and our refund protocols.

2. Cancellation Policy

Members may cancel their Heavy Chef membership at any time, for any reason.

No Questions Asked: We do not require a reason for cancellation.
Method: Cancellation can be performed directly through the member’s account settings on the Heavy Chef platform or by contacting our support team.
Access Rights: Upon cancellation, access to Heavy Chef content and benefits will continue until the end of the current billing cycle. After this period, the membership will expire, and no further charges will be incurred.

3. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is determined by the membership tier selected.

3.1 Monthly Memberships (R250/month)

Flexibility: Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time.
Billing: Once cancelled, billing will cease immediately for the subsequent month.
Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months. Members retain full access until the prepaid month is complete.

3.2 Annual Memberships (R2500/year)

Discount Structure: The annual membership is priced at R2500, offering a significant discount compared to the monthly rate (effectively 2 months free).
No Pro-Rata Refunds: Due to the discounted nature of the upfront commitment, Heavy Chef does not offer refunds or credits for partial years.
Cancellation Protocol: If a member cancels an annual membership prior to the 12-month completion mark:

The system will disable auto-renewal for the following year.
No cash refund will be issued for the remaining months.
The member will retain full access to the platform for the remainder of the 12-month period originally paid for.
