About This Recipe

When Fred Roed, CEO of Heavy Chef, describes partnerships as a moat around your business that can make life infinitely easier, he reveals the importance he attaches to them. Not surprisingly, he believes all startups must have a partnership strategy in place and execute it with focus.

The often-dreaded partnership pitch is a topic Fred covers in some detail in this recipe, giving entrepreneurs the benefit of Heavy Chef’s experience with the cascading approach. More importantly, he emphasises the need to lead with your core belief to establish the human connection without which no partnership can succeed.

Fred also shares what a successful partnership looks like in Heavy Chef’s world, gives practical advice on how to develop a value proposition that will help attract like-minded partners, and reveals his strategy for dealing with fear of rejection.
