He co-founded Loop, a mobility-fintech platform that grew to a valuation exceeding R180 million in under two years. Under Jamie’s leadership, Loop enabled over R50 million to flow into the informal economy, advancing financial inclusion. Jamie is also a co-founder of SocialHack. He lectures, mentors and advises entrepreneurs, founders, and students across Africa on design thinking, applied innovation, and building sustainable, inclusive businesses. He has also represented Cape Town as an ambassador under Invest Cape Town, helping make the city an easier place to do business. His work combines technology, science, and human-centred design to solve real-world challenges. His impact has been recognised globally, including as a Global 40 Under 40 winner and UN TOYP Award recipient.
