I started by studying Electronic Engineering, which was my formal education. I joined, as an apprentice putting cables for a small company. Three or four small companies later, I joined a larger corporate, Metropolitan, in financial services. I spent a large part of my career - 15 years - with them and that was great because, as a company, they invest a lot in their staff. So I had the opportunity to grow through various technology and IT roles, I became part of the management team and leadership and had the opportunity to be part of acquisitions and mergers. I received a lot of exposure at Metropolitan, which was fantastic.

In a nutshell who we are and what we do is about providing an electronic platform for our customers, our hosting environment, that enables them to be creative, to build a business and to be active and through that, stimulate the economy. That's what we're about.

I think, 20 years ago, it was much more difficult to start a business. And how did you get exposure? You couldn't just go on a social media platform and say, "Hey, I've got this product," or "I want to provide this service," connecting with people and growing a base of an audience that's interested in your offering or product. It can also be very complex, but I think it is a lot easier nowadays, with technology and digitalization of products, to get into starting a little business.
